GEORGE LOMBARDO was very active on stage from the age of 6 to his teen years when he left the theater to study music at Berklee College in Boston, graduating in 1977. He reappeared as an actor in 1996, singing and dancing in the role of the evil Sir Despard in Gilbert and Sullivan's Ruddigore, which won him much praise.
Since then George has performed with many professional and non-professional theatres throughout Connecticut including
the
Connecticut Cabaret Theatre, Spirit of Broadway Theatre,
River Rep at Ivoryton, Clockwork Repertory, and many others.
He has played such diverse roles as the sailor Billis in South Pacific, Sister Amnesia in Nunsense
Amen, Ben Silverman in The Sunshine Boys, and Enoch Snow in
Carousel. As classically trained tenor, George also sings with
Connecticut Opera.
