Jenna has been singing
as far back as she can remember. Her first real stage
experience, however, was in high school when she had the honor
of soloing with the award-winning and nationally acclaimed Hall
High School Jazz Band for two years. Jenna went on to Ithaca
College where she studied voice privately while working on her
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After she came home from
college, Jenna went on to get her Master's Degree in Education,
and music took the back burner for a little while as she worked
days and went to school at night. In 2001, Jenna finally got
back onto the stage, although this time it was not to sing jazz
but rather to get her feet wet in musical theater. Since then
Jenna has performed in a number of musicals, including Annie
(Mrs. Greer/ Ronnie Boylan), Smokey Joe's Cafe, and Children of
Eden (Eve) with the Plainville Choral Society.
In November 2004,
Jenna joined the highly talented cast of Jekyll and Hyde with
the Little Theatre of Manchester (LTM). She also performed as Ethel Toffelmeier in
The Music Man with LTM this past fall, where she
earned a nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Musical.
Perhaps one of her most challenging roles was as part of the
Angel City Four in Rocky Hill Town Theatre's City of Angels, which garnered Best
Show 2005 from Theaterlives, a tremendous honor.
Jenna counts her performance as Narrator in
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,
as one of the most rewarding experiences she has had thus far.
She also enjoyed the wonderfully talented and dedicated
cast of Into the Woods with the award winning Little
Theatre of Manchester, where she played the roles of
Cinderella's Mother, Granny, and the Giant's Wife.
Jenna is extremely excited to dive into her new
role of "Mrs. Meers" in Manchester Musical Players "Thoroughly
Modern Millie" which will start rehearsing in January and open
in April.
