March 2005
March rolls in with some shows continuing from February openings; including the
large production of
Sweet Charity at
Connecticut Cabaret; the 7 Angels Theatre production of No Way to Treat a
Lady, and the new musical Falls at Spirit of
Broadway.
Opening is the much anticipated run
of City of Angels produced by the Rocky Hill Town
Theatre. Bristol
Theatre Arts will run a production of
Godspell,
this production sounds more intriguing with each passing
minute - check out the 'rehearsal
diary'.
Traveling road shows will see Big River and Oklahoma
(Schubert), Little Shop of Horrors (Bushnell), Rent
(Bushnell),
Chicago (Palace).
Best Bet: See the
City of Angels
- the cast alone dictates that performances will be of
exceptional quality, and don't forget:
Sweet Charity is still running until
Mar 19! by coincidence both musicals feature music by Cy
Coleman, and both are big productions.
Worth the Risk:
Godspell,
Bristol Theatre Arts, this show is backed by some great local
talent, and No way
to Treat a Lady is a favorite of TL's superstar - KLC, if she enjoys this
show, it must have good music.
Do Not Miss:
there may still be time for Ct. Cabaret's
Sweet Charity.
