March 2006 Connecticut Musicals Calendar
March is traditionally a big month for Musicals in
Connecticut. It is when many theatres creep out of winter
hibernation and once again enter the stage. With a record 15
musicals running; March truly has an impressive array of fine musicals playing in throughout
the
state. The Spirit of Broadway will
present the hilariously funny Ruthless. This parody
of driven stage-moms and ambitious kids hits all the right notes
and is a safe bet for a fun and unique night out. Plan to attend
this show. The Palace, Connecticut's
most impressive stage, will see Les Miserable roll thru.
Once again, if you haven't yet visited the Palace - this show
leaves no excuses. Rocky Hill Town Theatres
Aida is sure to be a large well delivered production.
Seating is very limited - buy early - sell outs are expected.
The always pleasant Connecticut Cabaret
will see the closing of Cinderella. The Cabaret is
always a fun, relaxed setting with great shows. Gilbert and
Sullivan lovers are in for a treat as
Troopers Light Opera company presents Iolanthe, Sweet Charity
will open at the end of the month at the
Downtown Cabaret in Bridgeport. This is another great and
fun show in a great Cabaret setting. Central Connecticut is
bringing in Director John Hickok for their production of
Urinetown - featured as Hope Cladwell is our very own Jaime
Morano.
